TTT PLAYER SPOTLIGHT
Rob Hessler has been selected for the TTT’s Player Spotlight!  Rob has been playing tennis since his early teens in Delaware.  Tennis was not his initial racquet sport; in junior high, Rob became a nationally ranked indoor badminton player competing in several tournaments on the East Coast.  In high school, Rob played and captained the squash team and enjoyed playing racquetball and platform tennis throughout college and into his adult life.  He has continued to play tennis on a recreational level and joined TTT three years ago to meet new players and satisfy his desire to compete on a more competitive level.  Since retiring from Boeing nearly two years ago where he worked as an Organization Effectiveness internal consultant and executive/leadership coach, Rob has captained two Mixed Doubles teams and played on several Men’s USTA League teams.  He particularly enjoys the opportunity to promote the game and get new players involved in the USTA League.  When he is not playing tennis, you might find him volunteering at Living Free Animal Sanctuary in Mountain Center, facilitating a leadership coaching workshop, running in a local 5K, or snow skiing with wife, Melinda.   When looking for inspiration, Rob catches fellow lefty “Rafa” Nadal on television or at the annual BNP Paribas tournament in Indian Wells.  Rob was recently nominated to serve on the TTT Board of Directors and looks forward to working with others to promote USTA League tennis in the area.
